Described as a ‘meditation on transportation’, Vanishing Point takes the user on an artificially constructed journey to the centre of nowhere. Traversing over bridges and motorways but never actually reaching a destination, the journey is one that takes the viewer inward. An original, ambient soundtrack by the filmmaker accompanies the journey in a sometimes seamless, sometimes jarring way and so, what could be a most banal trip to nowhere is transformed into a journey into oneself.
